Chris Harrison replaced by JoJo Fletcher as host for two weeks after he left Bachelorette bubble

Former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher is temporarily replacing longtime host Chris Harrison in his role on the program.

The show is being filmed in a coronavirus social bubble at a resort in California, which Chris briefly left to drop his son Joshua off at Texas Christian University.

Now JoJo, 29, will be stepping into his shoes for the duration of his 14-day quarantine before he can reenter the resort city of La Quinta, Us Weekly reports.

Chris posted a heartwarming Instagram album on Wednesday that showed him dropping Joshua off at his college residence.

The post included a picture of the father and son together, as well as a snap of Joshua with his roommates making the university’s Go Frogs hand sign.

‘Just like that he’s gone,’ wrote Chris, who shares his sons Joshua and Taylor with his ex-wife Gwen Harrison whom he divorced in 2012.

‘Thought dropping the big man off at college @texaschristianuniversity today was going to crush me but all I could feel is pride and excitement,’ Chris added.

‘Especially now, so grateful that they have this opportunity. Now go take on the world and have the time of your life.’

An insider dished to Us Weekly: ‘The moment he got back, Chris was told he could not set foot back on the set until he went through another 14-day quarantine.’

The source explained: ‘The show’s contestants and crew all had to quarantine on the property for 14 days prior to the camera’s rolling. But it didn’t dawn on Chris he’d have to do it all over again if he simply left to take his kid to college.’

JoJo joined the franchise with The Bachelor, competing unsuccessfully for Ben Higgins’ hand in marriage, and then became The Bachelorette and picked Aaron Rodgers’ brother Jordan Rodgers to whom she is still engaged.

They were planning to get married this June but have had to delay the wedding because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Since it began filming earlier this year The Bachelorette has been beset with problems, beginning when the shoot was disrupted in March by lockdown.

Eventually the show restarted filming last month at La Quinta, a resort town in Palm Springs, with a raft of new safety guidelines.

After the production was halted in March all the suitors had to be recast, but Clare Crawley remained in place as the Bachelorette.

However by early this month she had left the show, with rumors flying that she fell rapidly in love with contestant Dale Moss and decided he was her man.

In fact a Life & Style report claims that Claire, the oldest-ever Bachelorette at 39, and Dale, a former NFL player, are already engaged.

Now she has been replaced by Tayshia Adams, who has become the second Black Bachelorette after Rachel Lindsay.
