50 Cent has defended his remarks about ‘angry’ Black women who he says are upset about his ‘exotic’ girlfriends.

The 45-year-old rapper found himself facing backlash on social media after making the comments on Lil Wayne’s show Young Money Radio in early July.

In a new Haute Living profile he clarified: ‘What I said exactly was…”When the person is from somewhere other than what you’ve experienced, the communication is a little different because they come from different walks of life.”‘

He added: ‘And when I said that, [there was a lot of anger and women saying]: “You don’t think Black girls are exotic.”‘

The Haute Living cover star continued: ‘And I said: “They be angry when they see a Black man with someone else other than African-American women in general.”‘

On Lil Wayne’s show early last month he said: ‘When you see a lot of sisters, they go: “Oh, you f***ing this kinda girl or that kinda girl?” That s*** is exotic! That s*** look a lot different from the s*** that you see in the neighborhood all the time.’

As Lil Wayne melted into laughter his guest continued: ‘That s*** look like it’s come off a boat, baby. You don’t like that, mother****er? You don’t like that? You go: “Goddamn, what’s the matter with you?”‘

50 Cent, who also frequently laughed during the chat, explained: ”Cause it feels like something foreign. It feels like something that you can’t just get. So in some kinda ways, and it’s interesting to explore. You know what I’m saying?’

He said that Black women ‘get mad. They get angry. “How did you end up with this mother***er or this, that?” I’m like: “Huh?”‘ 

The In Da Club hitmaker said: ‘I just look at it like: “Oh, look at this angry – ” and then my instincts always makes me defensive. So I go: “Look at this angry Black mother***er. Get the f*** outta here, b***, trying to f*** up the whole vibe.”‘

Lil Wayne’s 21-year-old daughter Reginae Carter seemed to respond to the interview by tweeting: ‘I’m black ! I’m beautiful ! I’m enough ! I’m exotic ! I’m amazing ! I’m one of a mf kind !!!! Now where my black beautiful Queens at ?’
