Inside the Hembrow sisters’ new Sskin clinic with celebrity-approved treatments

Amy and Emilee Hembrow have launched their own business venture – a boutique spa on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The older sisters of Australian fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow, 26, are now taking public bookings for Sskin beauty clinic.

Speaking with Daily Mail Australia, the siblings offered a sneak peek inside the bespoke property and highlighted its celebrity-approved treatments.

The idea to launch the beauty business came from Emilee, 28, who has long had a passion for the industry.

‘I just really wanted a place that was private to go and get treatments and facials and there’s nowhere like it on the Gold Coast,’ Emilee explained about identifying a profitable gap in the market.

The sisters said Sskin is different to other existing clinics as the bespoke property offers five-star treatments from within a private and discreet location.

‘We didn’t want it to feel clinical like a doctor’s office or like a clinic in a shopping centre… we wanted somewhere where we ourselves would go,’ Amy, 30, said.

While the clinic offers various beauty treatments, facials and injectable options, they insist their top priority is to enhance, rather than change, clients’ natural beauty.

‘We really stand by enhancing your natural beauty, not changing anything on your face,’ Emilee said.

As mothers, the sisters’ own skincare journey has changed and evolved in recent years, and have made their services versatile for everyone.

‘All the treatments are definitely celebrity approved,’ Emilee has insisted, with skin needling, Rose Quartz signature facials, IV drip treatments, and injectables on offer.

Collaborating on the design, the sisters put a mood board together and enlisted the help of interior designer Hayley from Archie Bolden to bring their vision to life.

‘We wanted it to feel welcoming, we wanted it to feel boutique,’ Amy said of the clinic’s aesthetic.

Amy was previously the general manager of sister Tammy’s popular activewear brand, Saski Collection, before being fired in 2019.

‘Emilee’s always been really into beauty and at the time I was working at Saski, and I didn’t have enough time. Once I was no longer at Saski Collection, I turned to Emilee and was like, you know what, let’s do it,’ Amy said.

She said her two-and-half years managing Saski taught her important lessons about running a successful business.

Amy and Emilee said they were pleasantly surprised they haven’t had any major arguments or fights regarding the Sskin, but have definitely faced challenges while getting the company up-and-operational.

‘With us, it’s juggling the kids at the same time, that’s the main challenge. Because Amy just had a baby, she’s still breastfeeding, so it’s a lot of juggling with that and my kids also with us,’ Emilee said.

Amy agreed, adding: ‘I think we work quite well together. Especially Emilee and myself on this journey, I think we had a couple kinks we worked through and now we understand each other a lot better.’
