Inside the ‘raunchiest’ season of The Bachelor EVER – including steamy bathtub dates, flirty phone calls and lingerie-clad video diaries

The Bachelor viewers are set to be taken aback by some of the ‘raunchiest dates’ the series has ever seen.

Frenzied producers reportedly encouraged the women to do some ‘very eyebrow-raising things’ to keep the spark alive with Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert after the COVID-19 pandemic halted filming.

Locky was said to have enjoyed a series of steamy bathtub dates, flirty phone calls and video chats with the ladies, with a source telling Woman’s Day: ‘They [producers] had lots of lingerie available and encouraged the girls to wear it.’

The Bachelor suspended on-site production of the show back in March after The World Health Organisation declared COVID-19 a global pandemic.

In a world-first, the dating show continued production via digital means, including Zoom.

The impromptu new concept started well, with the source saying: ‘There was a whole lot of raunchy phone chats, let’s put it that way. The producers encouraged the girls to be as flirty and open as they could be.’

Girls were also urged to overtly flirt with the hunk on Zoom and through a series of video diaries they filmed of themselves.

However, producers reportedly believed that even those actions weren’t racy enough, prompting them to resort to more extreme measures.

‘Because the girls were separated from him, the producers were concerned he’d lose interest and that the lack of physical connection could see him become disinterested.

It was then the ‘bathtub dates’ were introduced, where things supposedly took a daringly steamy turn – much to the satisfaction of producers.

In a separate interview with TV WEEK, contestant Roxi Kenny admitted that her feelings for adrenaline-junkie Locky changed during lockdown.

‘It definitely changed how I was feeling because it made me realise, “I just met this guy. Do I actually have those strong feelings or did I just get caught up in it all?'” the 29-year-old said after returning to Queensland for the lockdown period.

The Bachelor continues on Channel Ten, Wednesday, 7.30 pm.
