Inside the luxury country estate where Plate of Origin is filmed

While Sunday’s night premiere of Plate of Origin received a mix reaction from viewers – most agreed the country estate where that she was filmed is simply stunning.

Located in Dural, just 36km’s north-west of Sydney’s CBD, the French-inspired mansion sits among sweeping gardens with manicured lawns and hedges.

Dotted with benches, the private lake provides the perfect place for the judges and contestants to take a quiet break from filming.

Fit for royalty! Take a tour of the luxury French-style country estate where Matt Preston, Manu Feildel, and Gary Mehigan will reign as they judge Channel Seven’s new cooking program, Plate Of Origin (all pictured)

A leafy tree-lined driveway -which is enough to make producers of The Bachelor envious- leads up to the stunning white home with floor-to-roof glass windows.

The grounds also feature a large pool with a BBQ, perfect for those outdoor cooking challenges, and a large circular sculpture providing the wow-factor for filming.

Judge Matt Preston revealed the property is indeed as fabulous as it looks, comparing it to the former home of King Louis XIV in France.

‘It’s an amazing location – it’s just around the corner from the (Wild Pear) cafe that’s run by Larissa Takchi (MasterChef’s 2019 winner),’ he added.

‘So we were able to pop in there and pick up coffees and some very nice pastries from her.’
