Horrifying footage has revealed the moment a knife-wielding youth was seen attacking his rival in broad daylight on a train station platform.

The disturbing clip, believed to have been filmed on Monday, showed stunned commuters watching in horror while the man repeatedly swings the weapon.

Horrifying footage has revealed the moment a knife-wielding youth was seen attacking his rival in broad daylight on a train station platform. The knife-wielding thug is seen chasing after another man at Stratford Station in east London

His rival manages to dodge the blade for the most part but it is unclear whether it makes contact with his face at one point.

A female bystander screams in terror while the two men brawl and almost fall on to the train tracks. 

Another bystander can be heard shouting: ‘Stop it! Stop.’

The pair continue to square up to one another before the knife-wielding man starts to chase after the other. 

The rival eventually manages to run down the stairs with his friends and escape.    

A British Transport Police spokesman said: ‘Officers were called to Stratford station at 1.13pm on 28 September following reports of a stabbing.

‘Paramedics also attended and an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. 

‘Thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Detectives are conducting enquiries into the incident, and anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 229 of 28/09/20. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’

No arrests have been made.
