Nadia Bartel believes the COVID pandemic has ‘been a good thing’ for her

‘I actually feel like COVID was meant to happen’: Nadia Bartel believes the pandemic has ‘been a good thing’ and ‘fun’ as she’s ‘really gotten into fitness’ and had a chance to recharge

Nadia Bartel may be in Melbourne – one of the Australian cities hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic – but she sees an upside to the crisis.

The WAG told The Herald Sun this weekend that she feels this period has given her a much-needed chance to recharge.

The 35-year-old said: ‘I actually feel like COVID, for whatever reason, maybe it was meant to happen, because we’re all meant to slow down.’

The budding fashion designer also appreciates the extra time to work on her gym-honed physique, and bond with her two sons Aston, four, and Henley, one.

‘I feel for me personally, it’s actually been a good thing. I’ve really gotten into my fitness, I’ve really connected with the boys and recharged,’ she said.

Nadia added that she has focused on becoming a ‘more spiritual person’ and added breathing techniques and meditation to her routine.

‘I think it’s been really a nice time to refocus and just almost sit and be at peace with things and just focus on that… It’s been fun and good to focus on something else,’ she said.

The comments come after a difficult year for Nadia, who has split with her AFL star ex-husband, Jimmy Bartel.

The pair, who share two sons, announced their separation in August last year, but it is believed they actually split two months prior.

Soon after the split was announced, Jimmy went public with his new girlfriend, office worker Lauren Mand.

Meanwhile, Nadia was recently spotted out with her ‘new boyfriend’ Nathan Brodie.

The pair was first seen together last month while out for a run through Melbourne’s Albert Park.
