Schapelle Corby reduced to tears in SAS Australia trailer as she’s interrogated about drug smuggling

‘How come a court proved you guilty?’ Schapelle Corby is reduced to tears in a trailer for SAS Australia as she’s interrogated about her drug smuggling past

Schapelle Corby’s reality TV debut won’t be a walk in the park.

In a new trailer for Channel Seven’s upcoming show SAS Australia, the 43-year-old is reduced to tears while being interrogated about her drug smuggling past.

The promo shows a frightened-looking Schapelle sitting opposite former British Special Forces agent Ant Middleton in a dimly lit room.

‘I fear interrogation. I have to get through it…’ a tearful Schapelle says.

‘This is not a game!’ Ant snaps, before asking: ‘How come a court of law can prove you guilty, and then you’re saying, “No, it wasn’t me”?’

Schapelle became a household name after she was arrested in October 2004 at Bali airport with 4.1kg of marijuana wrapped in plastic inside her boogie board bag.

She was later sentenced to 20 years in prison, but after a series of sentence reductions was released on parole in February 2014 after nine years behind bars.

She has always maintained her innocence, insisting the drugs were planted in her luggage by an unknown third party without her knowledge.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Schapelle reveals she wants to ‘change her life’ by facing her fears.

‘I was always just ‘Schapelle’, and then overnight I became ‘Schapelle Corby, an international drug smuggler’ I’ve been locked away for a very long time. I’m 43 now. I want to change my life,’ she says.

The trailer then shows a montage of the brunette pushing her physical limits by swimming in ice-cold water and jumping backwards out of a helicopter.
