Hailey Bieber, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and more mark World Mental Health Day on social media

World Mental Health Day is celebrated annually on October 10 with the goal of educating and advocating against mental health stigma. 

And some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Hailey Bieber and new mom Katherine Schwarzenegger, offered their words of encouragement via social media on the important day.

Hailey, 23, who has been open about her own battle with anxiety, reminded her nearly 30million followers on Instagram to be ‘kind and sensitive’ to themselves and those around them.

‘We are all going through something, so let’s support each other instead of judge each other,’ wrote the 23-year-old model.

She then challenged her followers to ‘go out of [their] way to uplift others,’ especially ‘on social media where it’s easy to hide behind a screen and tear someone down.’

Bieber concluded her heartfelt post by saying that she is ‘sending every person reading this so much love,’ adding: ‘You are valuable, you are loved, and you matter.’  

In a follow-up post, Hailey used World Mental Health Day to encourage people to get out and vote in the upcoming United States Presidential election.

In conjunction with her poignant words, Lily included a breathtaking self portrait and an encouraging quote.

‘I know now from experience that the biggest challenges we face are often our biggest opportunities for growth. Yes, we can feel alone and overwhelmed when we’re in the thick of things, but nothing is permanent, and if we do the work we can come out on the other side stronger than ever. That is something I wish for everyone.’

Mindy Kaling wanted to let her following on Twitter know that ‘it’s ok to not be ok.’

‘It’s a tough world out there and we need to be there for each other. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a friend, family member, or anyone! Your mental health matters. You matter. #WorldMentalHealthDay,’ wrote the 41-year-old star of The Office.

She also included a cute graphic that read: ‘It’s ok to ask for help.’
