‘Can I trade in my kid for him?’ Junior MasterChef viewers fall in love with Cub Scout Ben, 10 – who brought along his own homemade rolling pin

Junior MasterChef Australia kicked off on Sunday night and fans already have a favourite. 

Ben, 10, has won hearts with his chipper attitude and love of cooking – and viewers were delighted when he brought along a homemade rolling pin. 

The tween explained that he’d made it himself at Cub Scouts, and that it was special to him.

‘We all brought something special in from home,’ he explained on the show. 

‘I brought my rolling pin that I actually made myself at a Cub Scout night. I think that’s really cool,’ he added. 

Ben, from Victoria, made ‘posh s’mores on Sunday’s episode, and fans were simply smitten.

Some compared him to MasterChef Australia contestant Reece Hignell, who is also known for his cheerful disposition.
