Gandys weather-resistant jackets will carry through all your outdoor adventures this autumn

Looking for the perfect parka or super comfy softshell? These weather-resistant jackets will carry through all your outdoor adventures this autumn

The days may be getting chillier and we’re being treated to the odd lashing of rain, but this doesn’t mean that we have to stop enjoying the outdoors.

You just need to make sure you have the right clothing. Socially-conscious brand Gandys has released a range of transitional jackets that are lightweight and comfortable yet hardy enough to withstand the British seasons.

These include the Gandys’ new Navigator Jackets, which are available for both men and women and are perfect for adventuring in milder climates like the UK.

These jackets are water resistant and feature quilted light padded lining, so will protect you from the elements, but they’re also stylish enough to wear on your commute or throw on over any outfit when it’s cold and rainy.

Or if you want something that will last you right through the winter, you might want to consider one of Gandys padded jackets, like the new Burnt Orange Explorer Hooded Padded Jacket or the Teal Helsinki Hybrid Softshell Padded Jacket, which are both designed for outdoor adventures.

Gandys have also just released a Blizzard Coated Parka Jacket that’s available in both burnt orange and black, which has been crafted crafted to resist harsh conditions, providing insulation even when the temperature drops below zero.

If you want to get your hands on some of Gandys best products for free, it’s worth checking out the competition the brand has launched on Instagram offering users the chance to win a winter weekend away along with an all-new adventure wardrobe for themselves and five of their friends worth £5,000.

Gandys was founded by Rob and Paul Forkan who lost both their parents in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami while the family were traveling in Sri Lanka.

Rob and Paul were just 15 and 17 when they were orphaned during the tsunami that devastated parts of Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia, killing 230,000 people in just a matter of hours.

Gandys was grown out a bedroom at the brothers’ flat in Brixton to honour the memory of their parents who had not only taught them the value of travel and adventure, but also the importance of giving back.

The company initially sold flip flops, but has since expanded to sell other travel-inspired clothes and fashion accessories.

Having grown up travelling around the world volunteering for various causes, it was always essential to Rob and Paul that their business helped those less fortunate than themselves.

It was Gandys vision to open as many kids campuses around the world as possible, and in 2014 the brothers set up their first Orphans for Orphans children’s home in Matugama, Sri Lanka.

They now have three further campuses in Malawi, Nepal and Brazil. These not only provide a place where children can receive an education, nutritious meals and medical care, but they also provide a common area for communities to come together.
