‘I needed to improve on all aspects of strength and cardio. On top of my hours spent in the gym, I would run a few days a week and also do a pack march over 10km with 25kg in my pack.’

Candice said she also focused a lot on upper body work, doing around 300 push-ups, plus pull-ups and ‘short, sharp high-intensity cardio’.

And after previously competing as a professional Ironwoman, starting when she was just 14, Candice admitted she had the right mentality needed for the gruelling training sessions.

‘Keeping motivated is very easy for me. Once I set my mind on something and commit to it, then giving up is never an option. I keep going until I succeed,’ she added.

SAS Australia will follow 14 celebrities as they attempt the intense selection process for the elite Special Forces army unit.

Under the guidance of former Special Forces soldiers, they will have to endure both physical and psychological challenges.
