Police launch probe after ‘human bones’ were found in a Greater Manchester town

  • The discovery was made  before 10.05am on Saturday near Calf Lane in Mossley 
  • Police have  described  the discovery as ‘possible human bones’
  • The scene has been cordoned off while the investigation continues

Police have launched an investigation after human bones were found in a town in Greater Manchester.   

The grim discovery was made before  10.05am on Saturday near Calf Lane in Mossley.

Police have launched a probe after human bones’ were found  near Calf Lane in Mossley

Police have cordoned off the scene  after the discovery of what they described as ‘possible human bones’. 

A scene remains in place while enquiries are carried out.  

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 999 of 17/10/2020, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
