INXS guitarist Tim Farriss and his wife, Beth, are packing up their belongings to move to Sydney’s north.

The couple have purchased a 1939 five-bedroom weatherboard home in Narrabeen, after selling their two-bedroom apartment in Fairlight and a 37-hectare property named Willabrook in the Southern Highlands village of Upper Kangaroo River.

Tim and Beth earned $6.07million from the two sales, and paid $3.9million for the north-to-rear lakefront home, reports news.com.au.

The dining area and living room of their new residence opens to a lakeside deck.

The property, which was sold by Garry Greco and Cherie Humel, has a three-car garage, a home office, commercial-grade storerooms, an enclosed rear garden and approval for a swimming pool to be built on the 880-square-metre grounds.

The home is just a short stroll to Narrabeen Lakes Primary School and various restaurants, and is within walking distance of a supermarket and B-Line buses.

The real estate listing describes the home as an ‘exclusive lakefront property [with] an enchanting next-to-nature sanctuary and a lifestyle simply without parallel’.

‘It has been transformed into a haven of relaxed luxury and seamless versatility with magnificent lakeside entertaining areas,’ it continues.

‘Placed on 879sqm with deep level rear lawn providing direct access to the water’s edge and grassy parkland, its secluded setting is only a few minutes stroll from the primary school, vibrant eateries and Narrabeen Beach.’

It comes as INXS prepares for their own live musical production, with longtime manager Chris Murphy revealing the band has joined forces with Universal and Warner Chappell to bring the show to life.

‘If all goes to plan, we could have a table reading with actors in Sydney sometime in early 2021. That would be our hope,’ producer Michael Cassel told The Sydney Morning Herald.

‘It’s now a matter of coming up with a story which can draw inspiration from those songs in a new and compelling way.’
