Tom Cruise arrives on set of Mission Impossible 7 in Venice

He’s been back to work on the big-budget blockbuster during the COVID-19 pandemic, shooting in locations such as Italy and Norway.

And Tom Cruise made quite the entrance as he arrived onto the Mission Impossible 7 set in Venice on Tuesday, as he rolled up on top of a river boat.

The Hollywood legend, 58, was seen jumping from one boat to another in heeled shoes as he appeared to be rehearse new scenes for the next chapter in the hit franchise.

Give us a lift Tom! Cruise arrived on set of Mission Impossible 7 in Venice on Tuesday on a river boat before he was seen jumping from one to another in heeled shoes

Tom looked dapper as he was transformed into Ethan Hunt by wearing a black suit jacket and trousers with an open-collared white shirt.

Following protocols in the country, Tom made sure to wear a black face mask as he travelled through the city’s waterways.

Ever the daring stuntsman, Tom appeared unfazed as he jumped from one boat to another before heading onto dry land.

Members of the crew seemed to be going through the tricky manoeuvre with Tom, as they were seen on boats either side of the one he had arrived on.

Tom has been spotted filming many exciting scenes in the last few months, including taking on motorbike jumps, parachuting and riding on top of moving trains while on set in Norway.

Filming for the upcoming action movie was halted in Italy earlier this year after cases of coronavirus rose sharply.

The crew and actors had been in Norway filming ever since, before returning to the Italian capital to continue with scenes.

Earlier this summer it was reported that Tom hired a £500,000 ship for the film’s crew in Norway to avoid any coronavirus-related delays.

Filming was already delayed for five months after COVID-19 spread across Italy, where production had been based in March, leading the release date to be pushed back to November 2021.

‘They are terrified of further delays. Tom is determined not to see any more hold-ups. The studio believes it will keep everyone safe and get this shoot wrapped up’, a source told The Sun earlier this summer.

It was recently claimed that Tom was ‘exempt from Norway’s quarantine rules’ as he restarted filming in the Scandinavian country.

The media personality revealed how ‘excited’ he was to start shooting the latest instalment of the franchise in a phone call with Norway’s Minister of Culture Abid Raja.

Mission Impossible 7 will be released on November 19, 2021.
