Stranger Things’ Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink film season four in Atlanta

On Tuesday, Stranger Things stars Maya Hawke, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Joe Keery filmed street scenes in Atlanta for the eight-episode fourth season of Netflix‘s sci-fi drama premiering next year.

The cameras rolled as the SAG Award-winning ensemble exited Family Video rental store and arcade where a poster of Tom Hanks’ 1985 comedy The Man with One Red Show hung outside.

18-year-old Gaten – who plays tech wiz Dustin Henderson – sported a trucker cap emblazoned with the phrase ‘Thinking Cap’ over his longer locks and he hauled a backpack.

Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman’s 22-year-old daughter wore a boxy blazer and necktie with classic Converse high-tops as the Sovet code-cracking lesbian Robin Buckley.

18-year-old Sadie rocked a retro Sony Walkman and wore maroon Vans shoes to better get in character as skateboarding tomboy Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield.

28-year-old Joe – who plays girl-crazy Steve Harrington – appears to have had much better luck with the ladies since leaving his job at Scoops Ahoy in favor of working at Family Video.

Production on the binge-watching favorite officially resumed on September 28 after the coronavirus pandemic forced a shut-down on March 13 after only two months of filming.

And thanks to a February 14 teaser, audiences now know Hawkins Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is alive and being held captive by Russians at a Kamchatka labor camp.

‘We were always interested in that idea of the Gandalf resurrection – Gandalf the Grey who fights the Balrog and then becomes Gandalf the White,’ 45-year-old David explained to Total Film last month.

‘It’s the idea of the resurrection of the character. And mythologically, Hopper, in a sense, had to change. I mean, you couldn’t go on the way he was going on. He has to resurrect in some way.
