David Tennant has been spending plenty of time with his children during half-term as he let his daughter paint his face on Monday.

The actor, 49, let his five-year old Doris hone her artistic talents on him as she covered his face in multi-coloured paint.

The heartwarming image was shared by David’s wife Georgia who told how the family are currently self-isolating at home.

David cut a casual figure in the snap, wearing a grey printed T-shirt while he slicked his hair back.

Reacting to the sweet snap, one of Georgia’s followers wrote: ‘You’re a good dad David. And Georgia, you’re a great mom.’

Another added: ‘I love this photo, thank you Georgia’.

David and Georgia, who have been married since 2011 and share five children, offered insight into their marriage during a rare joint interview, with the actress describing herself as a ‘stalker’ due to her non-stop attempts to woo him.

David and Georgia spoke to That Gaby Roslin Podcast about their nine-year marriage, after meeting while appearing in Who episode The Doctor’s Daughter.

Discussing their romance during its earliest days, Georgia said: ‘I very much forced it into happening, didn’t I?’ before joking she was determined to woo the actor and kept pursuing him until he gave in.

David then added: ‘That makes it sound like I was resistant, which was not what happened. I thought we were an unlikely life partnership, I suppose. There is a bit of an age gap.

‘Because Doctor Who had run through my life like a stick of rock, to end up marrying the daughter of one of the Doctors, it all felt a bit stupid… that wasn’t really likely to happen. So there were a lot of things against it.’

David and Georgia married in 2011, and are now parents to Olive, nine, Wilfred, seven, Doris and Birdie, 12 months. David is also adopted father to Georgia’s son Ty, 18.

Georgia also discussed her youngest daughter’s health scare last year, when she was rushed to intensive care shortly after being born last year.

Last month David left viewers enthralled with his terrifying performance as the serial killer Dennis Nilsen for the ITV miniseries Des.

During lockdown the Good Omens star also starred in Staged alongside his former co-star Michael Sheen, with the pair played exaggerated versions of themselves attempting to rehearse for a play over Zoom.

Georgia also starred alongside her husband in the TV drama, with Michael’s real-life girlfriend Anna Lundberg also making an appearance.
