Princess Martha Louise of Norway is currently filming hew new reality series

Princess Martha Louise of Norway can add a new title to her list of accolades: TV reality star.

The 49-year-old announced on Monday that she’s currently filming a new reality series entitled simply Martha, which will air on Norway’s TV 2 in 2021.

The show will give fans a glimpse into her personal life, including her relationship with American ‘spiritual guide’ Shaman Durek.

‘I am a public person, and the press writes a lot about me. This series is an opportunity to show my life in a different and new way,’ Martha said.

The Norwegian network promises viewers an ‘encounter’ like they’ve never had before with Martha, following her ‘closely both privately and at work.  

‘It has been important to me that this is not a TV project that hunts for sensations,’ Martha added about the series.

‘I can open up in front of the camera, but I am also concerned with honesty and that one does not contribute to speculation about me and my life,’ she added.

She adds that the, ‘most important thing’ she does is be present for her daughters 17-year-old Maud, 15-year-old Leah and 12-year-old Emma.

Their father, Ari Behn, committed suicide on Christmas Day, two years after the couple had split following 15 years of marriage.

‘We are a family in grief, and in addition we have become very isolated, like most others in Norway. We have therefore just started with the recording,’ she added.

TV 2’s program editor, Katrine Haldorsen added, ‘Princess Märtha is a person we think we know, and who many have strong opinions about. 

‘Therefore, it is extra nice that she has now agreed to share her life with the viewers,’ she revealed.

The production company entitled Mothership will produce the series for TV 2, with Haldorsen revealing how excited she is for Norwegians to see the series.

‘In this exclusive documentary, we get to know a princess who goes her own way, and an insight into what it is like to be born into a life with everyone’s eyes on her,’ she said.

‘We are really looking forward to showing this series on TV 2 and TV 2 Sumo next year,’ Haldorsen concluded.
