Ruby (Louisa Lytton) was furious when she learned that Kush (Davood Ghadami) had been stealing from the club’s till to fund his addiction, as he struggled to repay his debt to the Panesar family.

Approaching Suki (Balvinder Sopal), she suggests they team up to take Kush down, by tempting him into a poker game and bleeding him dry.

Despite a suspicious Kush turning down the offer, temptation gets the better of him and he soon sits down to play with Vinny (Shiv Jalota) and Kheerat (Jaz Keol).

A concerned Martin decides to join in as well, and Stacey and Jean rush to try and stop him when they discover Suki and Ruby’s plot.

It remains to be seen whether they succeed in stopping Kush from making such a big mistake, as his money woes continue to pile up.

Kush’s battle with online gambling is likely to be setting the stage for his exit from the soap after six years on Albert Square.

Bosses confirmed last month that Kush will be leaving the soap in 2021, with a ‘huge plot’ planned for his departure.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Kush will be written out of the soap next year as his storyline reaches a natural close.’

Speaking about the exit, a TV insider told Metro.co.uk: ‘Bosses have a huge plot planned but although Davood was told in January, his departure it is not for a very long time yet in fact Kush will be on screen until well into 2021.’
