Two new celebrities joined the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! line-up during Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show.
But, Vernon Kay, 46, and Shane Richie, 56, had ‘mixed emotions’ about the new campmates, despite Russell Watson, 53, and Ruthie Henshall, 53, winning an impressive 11 stars for the group.
Speaking ahead of their arrival, the presenter and the actor both admitted they were fearful that the addition of new celebrities would change the dynamic of the group.

Ruthie was delighted at her and Russell’s inaugural performance at their Trial, saying: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled we got 11 stars. That was a super duper trooper of a . . .’
‘I was just expecting one nasty thing but they kept coming and coming,’ added Russell.
Ruthie gushed: ‘I’m so excited to get into the castle and really look forward to saying hello to everyone and getting to know them.’
Meanwhile, back in the Living Quarters, some of the original campmates were talking about the impending new arrivals.

Frightened: ‘For another two people to come in, you’re always frightened. It’s going to change the dynamics and we were kind of concerned about that,’ said Shane
Vernon admitted: ‘I’ve got mixed emotions at the moment. It moves the dimensions. It moves the dynamics about slightly. I would be genuinely upset if this dynamic changes.’
Later, Shane added ‘There’s 10 of us now, we’ve been together four days. We know each other really well. We’re eating, sleeping, laughing, crying together…

However, it seemed that all was forgotten as Ruthie and Russell entered the camp.
‘As soon as Russell and I walked in, the welcome was just. it was wonderful, it was fantastic,’ enthused Ruthie.

It comes after viewers were left unconvinced on Tuesday night, after the campmates seemingly confirmed they were aware of ‘surprise’ newcomers Ruthie and Russell.
During the final moments of the show – which was aired live – hosts Ant and Dec told the 10 celeb contestants already in the castle that they were all taking part in the trial.
After this, the presenters told viewers at home that the camp had no idea they were going to be joined by singer Russell and actress Ruthie.

Shane declared that he thought the name of the trial – Stage Fright – indicated ‘R and R’, presumably given the new campmates’ careers treading the boards.
The others seemed to know what he was referring to, and viewers cottoned on as well, taking to Twitter to point out the connection.
