In the clip, which has been shared online, Nala looks mournfully at Ryan as he swings the camera around to see her face.

‘You idiot,’ says Ryan, teasingly. ‘Did you get your head stuck?

‘Is your head stuck there bud?’

Nala pulls and twists her head against the wheel in distress, trying to break free but she is stuck firmly in the gaps.

Nala was stuck for 15 minutes until Ryan finally managed to wrestle her free.

After her rescue, the animal lover said: ‘It was funny until I realised she was actually really stuck. Then I was nervous.’

Describing how he pulled her free he said: ‘I had to get Nala’s ears back, and her neck skin to go first.’

Luckily, Nala was unharmed in the ordeal and another video shows the pup sitting outside next to the Polaris Ranger as her owner asks her: ‘Nala you doing good?’

Finding your dog with its head trapped isn’t an emergency for pet owners, unless the pet is having difficulty breathing.

However, it can be a common problem as curious puppies can find themselves trapped after a small change of position.

Last year, a puppy in Chile managed to get its head stuck in the middle of a car wheel and had to be rescued by firefighters.

They had to sedate the eight-month-old pup and then use petroleum jelly to push her head back through the abandoned car wheel to set her free.
