Love Island’s Rosie Williams SPLITS from banker boyfriend Wayne Davies

Rosie Williams has revealed her shock split from banker boyfriend Wayne Davies.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday night, the former Love Island star, 29, confirmed that she was single and that she was moving out of their home after two years.

Rosie emotionally admitted that she thought she had found ‘real love’ and cryptically added ‘the truth always comes out in the end’.

The Welsh reality star insisted that she will be ‘back on top form’ next week and won’t allow anyone to ‘drag me down for too long’.

Writing a lengthy statement to her Stories, she penned: ‘Sorry for my silence everyone. My boyfriend and I have broken up so I’m just dealing with all that and moving out of the house.

‘I’ll be back on top form next week because nobody will drag me down for too long. I thought I’d found real love and was looking forward to the next chapter but the truth always comes out in the end.’

Rosie defiantly ended her statement with: ‘Single Rosie is back though – she’s fun too! Haha!’

The former solicitor also shared a video of a couple online and in love, she wrote: ‘One day Rosie girl… goodnight and goodbye to the last two years. Tomorrow is a new start x.’

Just weeks ago, the couple had enjoyed a romantic getaway to Greece with Rosie sharing several updates to her Instagram account.

Rosie had an on-off relationship with Wayne before she appeared on the 2018 series of Love Island.

The Welsh reality star revealed that going on the ITV2 dating show ‘gave him the kick up the bum he needed’ and they became official shortly after her stint in the villa.

The former solicitor also stuck by Wayne in 2019 after he was spared prison after he struck Royal Navy recruit James Edwards in his Audi in a 4am collision in Stockport in March 2017.

Mr Edwards suffered fatal injuries when he was hit and then dragged for 105 yards under the Audi. His horrified girlfriend witnessed the tragic incident.

Wayne, known as regarded ‘champagne Charlie’, drove away and later told police he thought he had hit a bin bag.

Officers tracked him down by following a trail of coolant from the damaged radiator to his front door.

Police found a wrap of cocaine hidden in his phone. For two years, Wayne denied his driving was careless.

But on the eve of a re-trial, Wayne admitted causing death by careless driving and possessing class A drugs.

The trial took place in May 2019 with Wayne handed a 10-month suspended prison sentence and ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.

He was also handed an electronically-monitored curfew for four months and banned from driving for four years.

Only recently, Rosie told WalesOnline that their relationship was going ‘really well’ as she discussed their romance.

She said: ‘He is someone I was dating before the show, we had an on-off relationship. When I went on the show, I realised that I missed him. Me being on the show also gave him the kick up the bum he needed.

‘When I came out, we started seeing each other straight away and got together in the August. I’ve been living with him now for nearly two years, and it’s going really well.

‘I don’t think we’d be here today if I hadn’t gone on the show, so it all worked out for the best.’

It was first rumoured that Rosie had a new man in her life in October 2018, just a few months after her tumultuous time on Love Island, which saw her and Adam Collard split up acrimoniously.

Rosie told MailOnline at the time that she was dating someone, but did not divulge his name.

She said: ‘All I want to say is I have a boyfriend. I haven’t said to anyone who he is, I am happy and I have found love.

‘I’ve known him for about 18 months, so we knew each other before Love Island. When I went onto the show, he was no longer part of my life in a romantic way.

‘I don’t think he quite liked me being on the show. When I came back, it gave us a chance and we started dating again. I feel like you are just ready when you are with the right person. I am in the position I would like to get married first.

‘Obviously I’ve just entered this new crazy world so I want to push my career as much as possible for a couple of years and then hopefully look to settle down.’
