Rita Ora FORGETS her past relationship with Rob Kardashian

Under-fire Rita Ora appeared to suffer from another bout of amnesia this week after completely forgetting her past relationship with Rob Kardashian.

The singer has endured a difficult week after disregarding COVID-19 regulations by hosting a birthday party at a London restaurant, before tough lockdown restrictions had been eased.

The incident, which resulted in her paying a £10,000 fine, came after she flew by private jet to Cairo on November 21 to perform at the five-star W Hotel. She returned the next day and under Government quarantine rules should have self-isolated for 14 days, but instead hosted her birthday celebration just seven days later.

Overlooked: Under-fire Rita Ora appeared to suffer from another bout of amnesia this week after completely forgetting her past relationship with Rob Kardashian

Speaking to the Sunday Times shortly before her controversial party, Rita admitted to ‘forgetting’ an admittedly brief romance with Rob in 2012 – despite the acrimonious string of tweets shared by the sock designer following their split.

‘Oh, I forgot about that,’ she said when asked what it was like to date a Kardashian. ‘It was very short-lived. I was so young It was fun. It was very, very fun, I guess. That’s all I remember.’

The end of their brief romance coincided with a series of bitter social medial posts from Rob, who indirectly suggested the singer had cheated on him numerous times during their relationship.

Posting in December 2012, he wrote: ‘When a woman cheats on you with one man I can live with that. People make mistakes, trust me. I have forgiven numerous times…

‘But when a woman disrespects herself by messing with more than 20 men all while being in a relationship with a Faithful man…

‘I just don’t get how a woman can do that to her body. And your career hasn’t even launched yet. I don’t put up with sloppiness. LOYALTY.’

He later added:  ‘How can a woman who is so busy trying to start her own career have time to be with so many dudes while in a relationship?!’

‘I’m actually disgusted a woman could give up her body to more than 20 dudes in less than a year’s time while trying to start a career.’

The tweets were live for around 30 minutes before Rob appeared to have second thoughts and deleted them – but not before they went viral.

It’s understood that Rita, then a rising star, called things off with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star due to her hectic work schedule and their incompatible lifestyles.

In an interview with Glamour, the singer confirmed she instigated the split, but wanted to ‘keep it friendly’.

She commented: ‘I’m not going out with Rob. We were close for a while, but it didn’t work because I was never there.

‘I was like a ghost. I used to get so frustrated with myself and then wonder why I was angry, so I decided it was best to keep it friendly – especially at the moment when there’s so much going on.’

The singer, currently dating producer Roman Gavran, went on to enjoy a series of high profile relationships with stars including DJ Calvin Harris, actor Andrew Garfield and designer Tommy Hilfiger’s son, Ricky Hil.

Rita has since been forced to apologise after she and around 30 guests, including model Cara Delevingne, were photographed at her pre-arranged birthday party, which took place before the end of England’s second national lockdown.

The event followed a trip to Egypt, where she performed at Cairo’s W Hotel – possibly as part of a 66th birthday celebration for Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi#, who was present on the night.

In addition to her apology, the under-fire singer said she would donate any profit from the Egyptian engagement to charity.

In a statement, she told the Mail on Sunday: ‘I recently flew to Egypt to perform at a corporate event for a private company, where my travel party followed protocol and presented negative Covid tests upon entry, as required by Egyptian authorities.

Rita Ora apologises for breaching Covid rules with Egypt corporate gig

‘I recently flew to Egypt to perform at a corporate event for a private company, where my travel party followed protocol and presented negative Covid tests upon entry, as required by Egyptian authorities. Upon my return to Britain, I should have followed government advice and isolated myself for the required period. As you know, I didn’t follow government advice and for that I apologised earlier this week. I apologise again, unreservedly. I would like to add that I have been tested subsequently, including today, and remain negative for Covid-19 and the same is true for all members of my immediate family who form my support bubble.

‘While I realise the apologetic words of a pop star might not carry much weight, especially one who has broken the rules like I have, I do realise that some might seek to follow my example. My message to them is simple: please don’t. The guilt and shame I’ve carried this week for my mistake aren’t worth it. Instead, continue to listen to the government advice and the voices of the heroes of the NHS and take the required precautions. I will take the criticisms coming my way because I deserve them. For my part, I hope to one day make it up to the public who have given me so much support over the years and, in particular, make it up to the heroes of the NHS. That is my promise to everyone disappointed in my behaviour. In the meantime, I will be donating my fee from Egypt to charity. Be better than I have been and learn from my mistakes so you don’t have to learn the hard way yourselves. Love, Rita’
