Emily Blunt is certainly happy to have her husband in her life.

The 37-year-old actress gave an interview to People where she opened up about her relationship with her husband and collaborator John Krasinski.

The London native placed a special emphasis on the support that her 41-year-old husband has given her in light of the circumstances of the global pandemic.

Two of a kind: Emily Blunt gave an interview on Tuesday where she elaborated on the dynamic between her and her husband John Krasinski; she is seen in March

On the topic of dealing with the continued changes in lifestyle prompted by the ongoing response to COVID-19, she stated that: ‘Having John’s support is everything, because we are each other’s confidant.’

Blunt noted that the two have been spending a great deal of time together, and that they have fallen into a routine of binging shows, which she states always leaves them feeling bereft of anything to do.

‘That’s the other thing about the pandemic: how lost and broken you feel once your favorite show has ended. Like, what should I do with my life now?’

The actress also spoke about how staying in close proximity with the couple’s daughter Hazel, aged six, and daughter Violet, aged four, has been a ‘lifeline’ for the couple, as they have tried to make sure their kids are staying active and happy.

Working together: The couple collaborated on the 2018 film A Quiet Place, which Krasinski also co-wrote and directed; they are pictured at the Golden Globe Awards in 2019

She stated: ‘Being around little ones during the pandemic was such a saving grace because they would just be bouncing around the house, and your job is to protect them from what is happening and make sure their life remains joyful.’

The two first began dating in late 2008 and became engaged the following year; they tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their daughters in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

Blunt was previously in a high-profile relationship with singer Michael Buble that lasted from 2005 until 2008; she also sang backup vocals on a few of his songs.

In 2018, the couple notably costarred in the horror film A Quiet Place, which Krasinski also directed and co-wrote.

Not hiding anything: Blunt admitted that she and her husband support each other in whatever they do, as she stated: 'we are each other's confidant'; the two are seen in 2018

The film was released in 2018 to an overwhelmingly positive reception; it also grossed over $340 million at the box office off of a budget of $21 million.

A sequel to the film is set to be released in 2021 with Blunt set to return as the lead and Krasinski also directing and writing.

The actress also spoke about the upcoming film during the interview, and expressed enthusiasm for her husband’s second time helming a film.

‘I was just really excited to see what John could do with this second one because he had all the wings of confidence from the first one…I just can’t wait for people to see what he can do as a filmmaker.’
