Meek Mill and Michael Rubin have created a scholarship fun to benefit underprivileged kids in Philadelphia.

The 33-year-old rapper and 48-year-old businessman worked together to organize the fund which will benefit nearly 1,000 in their hometown according to TMZ on Friday.

The two are springing into action right away amid the COVID-19 pandemic as the money will reportedly go toward the 2020-21 school year.

According to the publication, the fund will aid students from pre-Kindergarten to high school get the resources that they need during the pandemic.

Perhaps most generously, students from poverty-stricken homes are eligible to be selected to receive a scholarship which an be used to attend private/parochial schools throughout the city with costs covered.

If a child is in an electronic learning school, their funds can be used to access equipment including laptops, tablets, and WiFi.

With no stimulus package on the way, millions of families throughout the US are struggling to make ends meet and this fund aims to help children find the necessary resources to learn from home.

This is not the first philanthropic endeavor the close friends from Philadelphia have teamed up on amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact Rubin was the man behind the All In Challenge months ago in which tons of celebrities including Meek, Justin Bieber, Magic Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and several others joined in on.

Contestants in the All In Challenge were able donate as little as $10 to earn a chance to win one of the fan experiences that are being offered by an array of celebrities.

Basically, the more money you donate, the better chance you have to win. The donations and experiences were available at the website: allinchallenge.com.

100% of the money raised through this game/auction will go directly to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry and it raised millions.
