Witness Gideon Wagner said he believes the performers were professionals as they were able to project their voices without the use of microphones and amplifiers
Gideon Wagner, who witnessed Sunday’s performance, told MailOnline: ‘It was absolutely brilliant. They were excellent.
‘They were obviously professionals. Le Mis was something that opened again during this lockdown period but has unfortunately been forced to close again.
‘I think they were people from the company. They were working from a backing tape and able to project without using microphones.
‘People were invited in the area, but people were socially distanced.
‘It was dribbling rain. It was about 20 minutes long. People were coming out to look at it in amazement.’
Mr Wagner said it was clear the singers were professionals as they were able to project their voices without the use of microphones and amplifiers.
‘I have my own band The Lawyer and The Draper and it was clear that the act had been well rehearsed. You have to be trained in order to project your voice like they are.
‘It is a very difficult time for the arts with the ongoing lockdown. He have been in the recording studio but no one knows when he will be able to resume live music.
‘That is why the Les Mis appearance was so wonderful. It was organised at very short notice and done in the best possible taste. ‘
