Strictly’s Bill Bailey focuses on the Glitterball trophy after Tier 3 freezes plans for one-man show

As London moves into the dreaded Tier 3, Bill Bailey finds himself cancelling a slew of stage dates over Christmas and the New Year.

But the comedian, 55, is looking on the bright side – fixing his sights firmly on the Glitterball trophy during this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing finale.

While Bill told The Mirror this week how he’s dealing with his scuppered one man show plans, The Sun have also shone a spotlight on Bill’s public financial accounts, claiming he’s got a cool £1m in the bank to see him through the rest of the pandemic.

Postponed: As London moves into the dreaded Tier 3, Bill Bailey finds himself cancelling a slew of stage dates over Christmas and the New Year

Talking about the one man show plans, Bill told The Mirror: ‘Going forward, we’ll see what the restrictions allow and whether people feel comfortable doing it.

‘I think people are still very wary about it because we see what happens when restrictions are relaxed.’

Tier 3 sees London go backwards, with restaurants and bars closing once again for eating in, and theatre venues going dark once more.

But with the vaccine creating a glimmer of hope, Bill added: ‘I think the vaccine will give people reassurance they can go out and enjoy all the things that they have done before.’

It’s likely things won’t look too bright again until the spring; but The Sun claims Bill has nothing to worry about in the financial department.

Souring through his public records, the publication says that Bill has £887,000 worth of profits and £1,231,857 in assets across three companies, with further cash stowed away in a property firm – Kampung Pala Properties.

Bill’s businesses are co-run with Kristin Bailey, his wife, including Glassbox Productions which reports £747,441 in assets.

A second company, Beinzeit, boasts a net worth of £176,340, with third business, Glassbox Rights, boasting a £116,265 net worth.
