Appearing on Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine, the GMB star told the ITV presenter that it ‘hurt’ to get so far in the competition and be voted out in the semi final.

The star also mused that her long days, juggling early starts on Good Morning Britain before hours of training and getting home to see her young son, affected her performances in recent weeks.

‘I couldn’t believe how far I had got, to be honest. To get so close and to not make the final, it does hurt a little bit,’ she explained to Lorraine.

‘But in the end really, I am glad that we left on a beautiful dance – and I don’t mean the jive obviously!’

Speaking about how challenging it was juggling her day job on Good Morning Britain with the long hours of dance practice, she revealed: ‘I think in the end maybe a little bit of tiredness crept up on me.’

She added that Giovanni agreed that her energy was floundering in her final weeks, explaining: ‘Giovanni, if he was here, would say that in the sense that my energy levels definitely started to reduce a little bit towards the end.

‘I think it’s just a build-up of a lack of sleep and working, and then obviously I have got a son to go home to so I couldn’t really train until 10pm. I needed to go home, that’s my job, my main job is being a mum so it’s a lot of juggling but it was amazing to do.’

There have been rumours about Ranvir and Giovanni’s close relationship during their time together, with Lorraine commenting that there will be a bond between her and Giovanni that will always last.

Ranvir agreed, saying: ‘There is. I think it’s because he had to find out a lot about me that went beyond just learning a routine and vice versa really.’
