Supermodel Kristy Hinze’s billionaire husband Jim Clark ‘buys a historical World War II boat for over $7.2 million’

He’s worth a staggering US$2.8billion, and American entrepreneur Jim Clark recently splashed some of his vast fortune on a historical World War II boat.

According to a report by The Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday, the 76-year-old  husband of Australian supermodel Kristy Hinze spent over $7.2million on the boat. 

The purchase comes more than three years after he put his superyacht on the market for a cool $70million.

His latest purchase is a 90-year-old vessel called ‘Atlantide’, which was used during Operation Dynamo in WWII.

The vessel helped to evacuate English and allied troops during the Battle of Dunkirk in 1940. 

Kristy, 41, married Jim back in 2009, and they have two daughters together, Dylan, nine, and Harper, six.

At the time, they raised eyebrows with their 35-year age gap, with Kristy just 29 at the time of their wedding. 

In March 2017, it was revealed Jim had put his three-storey mega yacht on the market for $70million.

According to a report by 9Finance at the time, the yacht was built in 2004, and was one of the largest vessels ever made.

It contains five cabins and can sleep 10 guests, and also boasts a formal dining room, multiple lounge rooms and a library.

There is also a spa, sauna and a grand staircase, plus a spacious entertainment area on the top deck.

The yacht can also accommodate 21 staff members, making it the epitome of luxury.
