Disney reveals release dates for their upcoming Marvel slate including Loki and Black Widow

Disney has given fans some clarity on when they expect to see their favorite Marvel superheroes return to the big and small screens. 

The studio, which owns Marvel and its broad catalog of characters, made their 2021 slate official on Tuesday, revealing release dates for every TV show and movie.

WandaVision is the first to drop, followed by The Falcon & the Winter Soldier.

WandaVision, a TV spinoff of Elizabeth Olsen’s and Paul Bettany’s Wanda Maximoff and Vision characters, comes out on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.

The superhero/classic sitcom hybrid also stars Kat Dennings and Kathryn Hahn.

Following WandaVision is The Falcon & the Winter Soldier, which drops March 19.

The show sees Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie reprising their titular roles from the Avengers film series, exploring their storylines after the events of Endgame. 

The focus, of course, is Captain America’s iconic shield, as the mantle of the iconic superhero has fallen upon them.

The series also stars Daniel Brühl, who reprises his villainous Zemo role, previously seen in Captain America: Civil War.

It is expected to be released in cinemas, pandemic permitting, on May 7.

The film was originally scheduled to release on May 1st, 2020, before being pushed back to November 6th due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the next Marvel movie in the pipeline, and is currently anticipating a theatrical release on July 9.

Eternals, starring Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani, is expected to hit the big screen November 5.

And TV shows Ms Marvel and Hawkeye both have expected Disney+ release dates of late 2021.
