Sophie Rundle hospitalised after contracting coronavirus and suffering ‘hardcore vomiting’
- The actress, 32, revealed she has been suffering from a cough and vomiting
- She also said another of her symptoms is that she can’t taste anything
- Sophie said she had spent some time in hospital with the virus
- The star has been spending time in West Yorkshire filming Gentleman Jack
- She refused to feel sorry for herself and asked her followers to all cheer each other up in the comments section of the post
Sophie Rundle has told how she was hospitalised after contracting coronavirus recently and suffered bouts of ‘hardcore vomiting’.
The Gentleman Jack actress, 32, who has been filming the programme’s second series in recent weeks, took to Instagram on Monday to discuss her plight.
Sophie explained she is now recovering at home however she still has a bloodshot eye after vomiting and a ‘Dickensian workhouse-orphan’ style cough.

Sophie shared a couple of pictures of herself looking fed up from her ‘sick bed’ as she gave her followers a look at her bloodshot eye.
She wrote alongside the images: ‘GREETINGS FROM MY SICK BED! So for Christmas this year I got myself a nice juicy bout of Covid-19.
‘I also have a very festive bloodshot eye from all the hardcore vomiting I did in hospital (swipe if you’re feeling brave), I can taste NOTHING, I have a cough to rival a Dickensian workhouse orphan boy and the angel on top of my festive sickness tree is the TOOTHACHE from my gnarly little wisdom teeth at the back there.

However it seemed that Sophie was refusing to let her ‘festive feast of ailments’ get her down, as she told followers to comment to cheer each other up.
She continued: ‘But self pity is such a drag and we’re all fed up right? So how are we all doing? What is everyone finding to cheer themselves up?
‘If you’re feeling low or at the end of your tether, please know you are not alone. You can join my gang. Comment below and let’s cheer each other up.’

The official Peaky Blinder’s account posted a love heart underneath the post. Sophie has starred as Ada Thorne in the BBC series since 2013.
She is currently playing Ann Walker in Gentleman Jack opposite Suranne Jones, who plays lead character Anne Lister, who is regarded as the ‘first modern lesbian’.
Sophie was last seen dressed in character filming scenes with Suranne for the historical drama on December 10 in West Yorkshire.
It is currently unclear when the series will return to TV screens.
Gentleman Jack follows Suranne’s character Anne and her love Ann Walker in the BBC period drama.
The series is set in Yorkshire in 1834 and is based on the real life diaries of English landowner and diarist Lister.
The new episodes follow Suranne’s character as her love Ann moves in with her at Shibden Hall and the pair embark on their life as wife and wife.
The first series saw Anne and Ann torn apart when Ann was taken to Scotland, under threat of being married off by her brother-in-law.
But the finale saw the pair brought back together when Ann was called back to Yorkshire to visit her bedridden aunt.
Their reunion took place in a dramatic hilltop moment in which Ann revealed she was finally ready to marry Anne.
