Both Biggy and Smallz were adopted by the Bravo star, and she has become an advocate for rescuing dogs in lieu of purchasing them from stores or breeders.

In 2019, the Bravo star spoke to AOL regarding her feelings about buying dogs, and how she feels the future will be different in terms of how pets are welcomed into families.

She opined: ‘The conversation is definitely being changed where it’s a stigma to go into a retail pet store and buy a dog. You might as well be buying it online and having them ship it to you in a box. How could there be anything wrong with rescuing?’

Frankel also noted that her dogs were siblings and that she felt that the two should not have be sent to different homes, so she took them both in.

‘They’re so sweet and needy, so they seem like rescues and are not like spoiled, precious dogs…I couldn’t separate them – so I adopted both,’ she added.
