Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight kicked off in 1938 with a simple premise: that no one need be alone on Christmas Eve.

On Thursday night, it was evident the event was still going strong as the who’s who of the Australian music industry took to the stage for a rollicking night of festive carols – and a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

Anthony Callea was the epitome of disco ball chic when he performed for the show’s virtual audience in a belted suit, bedazzled with shards of broken mirror and clusters of peals.

The 25-year-old accessorised her look with shoes by Lana Wilkinson and some serious bling by French luxury brand, Chanel. 

The Together Again singer kept her makeup simple on the night, and her hair was swept back to ensure all eyes were on her.

He ensured the spotlight was on him, completing the look with a snappy white suit jacket with black trim.
