Below Deck’s Aussie star Izzy Wouters says she has ‘thousands of thirsty lesbians’ sending her messages on Instagram since she came out

Below Deck star Izzy Wouters recently came out as a lesbian.

And since going public with her sexuality, the Australian reality star has been inundated with interest from other women.

Speaking about the reception she received to coming out on the Poplitically Incorrect podcast, the 25-year-old said, ‘I have thousands of thirsty lesbians in my inbox!’

She added: ‘It’s so wild but it’s so nice to get the support.’

The stewardess revealed that she previously identified as bisexual, and it wasn’t until after filming wrapped for Below Deck and she went into quarantine that she realised she was a lesbian.

‘I always assumed that my life would be one way. And so then realising that it was going another way I was like, “oh, I must be bi”,’ she explained.

‘Then after filming, I went straight into lockdown and I had all this time to think. I was kind of like having an existential crisis, which I’m sure everyone else was,’ she continued.

‘I was thinking over all these things and these signals, like, “I’ve always preferred kissing girls and getting with girls over boys.” I don’t know, I didn’t know what that meant. You know, TMI, I hate being penetrated.’

Izzy also said that she was planning to go on a ‘hoe phase’ to explore her sexuality, but that the pandemic had made it difficult.

‘I’ve never really been interested in having a hoe phase, but then I was kind of sad because we were in lockdown and I can’t go and explore this now,’ she said.

‘I can chat to people online, but how am I meant to go and actually explore this?’

Izzy came out in a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post this month, sharing two photos of herself with a cheeky expression on her face as she sat on a boat in New Zealand.

She explained she was a lesbian and informed her followers she would let straight men know she was gay when they direct messaged her on social media.

‘The face of the straight men who slide into my dm’s when I say – HELLO MY NAME IS IZZY AND I AM OUT AND PROUD,’ she wrote, adding a rainbow flag emoji.
