Real Housewives Of Orange County: Braunwyn Windham-Burke jokingly calls friend Shari her ‘wife’

Braunwyn Windham-Burke admitted to jokingly calling her quarantine partner Shari her ‘wife’ on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives Of Orange County. 

The 43-year-old reality star during a group trip to Lake Arrowhead, California opened up in the kitchen while cooking with Kelly Dodd, 45, Gina Kirschenheiter, 36, and show newcomer Elizabeth Lyn Vargas.

Braunwyn revealed that she had plans to return to Lake Arrowhead the following week with Shari despite the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I’ll probably still be back. It’s just Shari and the kids. Like, that’s just my quarantine family,’ Braunwyn said.

‘Who is this?,’ Kelly asked.

‘I jokingly call her my wife because we quarantine together,’ Braunwyn told them.

Gina a confessional noted that Braunwyn when they first met told her that she preferred women sexually.

Braunwyn back in the kitchen shared that she and Shari came together amid lockdown.

‘After 45 days of quarantining, I had a little breakdown, and I needed a friend. Shari has kept me sane, and I have kept her sane. And we trade off,’ Braunwyn said.

Home video showed Braunwyn and Shari two weeks earlier reclining together on a couch.

Braunwyn thanked Shari for bringing cake for her 20-year-old daughter Bella.

‘She loves you. Bella loves you,’ Braunwyn said.

‘I know,’ Shari agreed.

‘I love that she calls you her other mommy,’ Braunwyn said.

‘I know,’ Shari concurred.

Braunwyn in a confessional said that Shari filled the role of friend that she needed after her breakdown.

‘She’s very important to me. I love her,’ Braunwyn said.

Braunwyn after returning home caught up with Emily Simpson, 44, who skipped the trip after coming down with coronavirus and apparenlty infecting her husband Shane who became seriously ill and was hospitalized.

Newly sober Braunwyn told her how the trip was ‘heavy’ and she felt lucky to have her own hotel room as an out.

Emily suggested she go on trips with a friend who doesn’t drink and Braunwyn said she had one at home.

‘My friend Shari, who’s, like, my …She moved in here for, like, 45 days because I was about to drink. So she’s been my sober companion,’ Braunwyn said.

She added that Shari doesn’t sleep there because she has her own house and a son.

‘How does Sean feel about that? Is he okay with that?,’ asked Emily of Braunwyn’s husband of 20 years.

‘Oh, he hate …No,’ Braunwyn giggled.

‘He gets jealous,’ she told Emily because she spends so much time with Shari and goes to her for the ‘hard stuff’.

Braunwyn then admitted that she and Sean were struggling with their marriage.

‘When I close my eyes and I have a fantasy, Sean doesn’t have a starring role right now,’ Braunwyn said.

The season 15 episode opened in Lake Arrowhead with Braunwyn helping Elizabeth with a panic attack as she revealed being the victim of alleged childhood sexual abuse.

Kelly and Gina, meanwhile were fishing off a pier with instructor Bonnie and landed a trout.

Gina volunteered to help remove the hook based on her experience taking stitches out of dogs as part of her community service for drunken driving.

‘Oh, my goodness we might’ve killed it,’ Bonnie said as Gina struggled with removing the hook.

Gina in a confessional said she hoped there was a ‘fish heaven’ with ‘clear waters’ where they swim carefree without ‘getting plucked out any second’.

She later redeemed herself when Elizabeth caught a fish and she released it back.

Shannon Beador, 56, during the episode also was forced to separate from her boyfriend John Janssen after she finally tested positive for coronavirus.

She went back to daughters, Sophie, 18, and 16-year-old twins Adeline and Stella and was outraged over the messiness of their home.

Shannon called her friends in Lake Arrowhead to let them know and Kelly decided to cancel her planned trip to Napa Valley after being notified by a coronavirus contact tracer.

Their three children made posters to welcome him back and were excited to see him as he left the hospital in a wheelchair

Emily had a newfound appreciation for Shane after considering what life would be like without him as he fought for his life.
