Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico is the latest star to join the cast roughing it on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

On Monday night’s episode of the reality TV series, the former AFL great, 62, entered the camp in a wild west-themed challenge.

His arrival proved to be no easy feat for retired AFL player Travis Varcoe and The Block’s Jess Eva who had to rescue the former Hawthorn player who was tied to a trolley.

Travis and Jess then had to chase a naughty cowboy inside an old Western saloon who had the keys to free Dipper. 

Dipper is the tenth celebrity to arrive on the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

He joins the likes of The Bachelor’s Abbie Chatfield, gold Logie winner Grant Denyer and comedian Ash Williams.

Other celebrities to arrive on the first episode of the show on Sunday include singer-songwriter Paulini Curuenavuli, The Voice’s Jack Vidgen, comedians Ash Williams and Mel Buttle, and former AFL star Travis Varcoe. 

Channel Ten will introduce other celebrity intruders to viewers throughout the week. 

The show is already proving to be a ratings smash for Channel 10, drawing more than one million viewers on Sunday night.

This is a slight jump in viewers compared to the first episode of last year’s season, reports TV Tonight

About 1,000,300 people tuned into the broadcast, compared to 980,000 in 2020. 

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
