Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac claps back at a critic on Instagram who told him he ‘needs to get a life’

Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac cleverly claps back at a critic on Instagram who told him he ‘needs to get a life’ and that he’s the reason she won’t watch the morning show anymore

Sam Mac had plenty to say after a critic slammed him in the comments section on his Instagram recently.

The 38-year-old Sunrise weatherman shared a screenshot of the woman’s remark and his witty response on Instagram on Thursday.

‘He’s so full of himself, and his cats, he needs to get a life, I don’t watch Sunrise anymore,’ wrote the woman.

Responding to the critic, known as ‘Barb’, Sam addressed her directly and informed her that he would be on Sunrise for the long haul.

‘Hi Barb. Letting you know, out of courtesy, that I’ve just signed on for two more years. & I’m back Monday. Love & light, Sam,’ he wrote.

He captioned the biting post: ‘#Pray4Barb’.

It’s not the first time Sam has engaged with a critic on social media.

In January 2019, he shared a nasty message he was sent from a woman named ‘Carol’, who congratulated him for ‘being less annoying’.

‘I am actually starting to like you these days. I think you have settled into your role easier and you’re not so annoying now,’ her critique read.

She then went on to take a swipe at Sam’s on-air wardrobe choices.

‘Please chuck that army fatigue shirt in the dirty green. The colour is not TV friendly. You suit blue tones and bright greens, not browns, tans and motley greens,’ she continued.

Hours later, Sam clapped back at the criticism, wearing an army fatigue shirt and holding up a sign reading: ‘Morning Carol’.
