Sylvain mirrored his wife in a khaki top and grey skinny jeans, black trainers and a sporty black jacket.

They took Yves, who also wrapped up against the weather, to the Wilmslow garden centre in Cheshire, seen leaving with a pet goldfish.

Samia has played Maria Windass in Coronation Street for over 20 years.

Her outing comes amid the news a COVID-19 outbreak on set has forced the soap to halt production, having had to shut down entirely for several weeks last year amid the pandemic.

Filming on Coronation Street is being suspended for two weeks ‘as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic’ it was revealed on Friday.

ITV bosses have made the decision to halt shooting on Corrie so the cast and crew can have a short break due to the pressures of filming during the coronavirus crisis.

The news comes as it was also revealed that ITV bosses suspended filming on Emmerdale this week, after a production team member contracted COVID-19.

Several scenes for Coronation Street will be rewritten to accommodate the break, in a bid to keep the storylines creative going forward.

An ITV spokersperson told MailOnline: ‘Coronation Street will pause filming from next Monday, 25 January for two weeks to undertake some rewriting of stories and scripts as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic.

‘We will also be taking the opportunity to review all health and safety requirements to ensure we continue to provide a safe working environment for the cast, crew and production team.
