Britney Spears posts nearly identical selfies after trailer for a doc about her is released

The #FreeBritney movement has been raging for close to two years.

But Britney Spears was back to posting nearly identical selfies to her Instagram on Tuesday, after a week-long hiatus.

The Womanizer star, 39, shared a trio of pictures while wearing a gingham off-the-shoulder bralette on Tuesday.

Two of the pictures were the same, only one had a black-and-white filter.

As with virtually all her other selfies, the Circus hitmaker stood outside, wearing her hair up in a half-ponytail.

The gorgeous pop star’s bangs hung playfully in front of her eyes, which were decked out in eyeliner and mascara.

Britney also wore a simple choker.

Her bra strap showed teasingly from underneath her top.

Spears often includes a droll or slightly apologetic caption when sharing similar selfies, but Tuesday’s photos came caption free.

Slightly earlier, Britney also shared an image of a beautiful and whimsical painting by Austrian artist Hans Zatzka.

The painting was of a beautiful young girl on a lily pad, who handled floral leashes tied around two swans.

The posts come as droves of Britney‘s fans continue to speculate that her upbeat-ish social media presence is in direct conflict with her private, real-life struggles with regard to her family and long-standing conservatorship, which some feel is being upheld against her will.

As before, Tuesday’s posts elicited comments from concerned users such as, ‘You are not alone’ and ‘Britney please tell us’.

On the post of the painting, one user commented, ‘those swans shouldn’t be held captive either, Britney’.

The FX documentary series The New York Times Presents recently unveiled the trailer for an upcoming episode, titled Framing Britney Spears.

The documentary will explore the reasons for the #FreeBritney movement, specifically with regard to Spears’ relationship with her father Jamie and the conservatorship he has run which controls her assets and career choices.

The movement got its name largely thanks to groups of Britney’s fans who have demonstrated both online and in person outside courthouses where details of Brit’s conservatorship and who controlled it have been discussed.

The Toxic singer has been under a conservatorship run by her father Jamie Spears since 2008.

As it’s currently constituted, her father Jamie, 68, has complete control over his daughter’s assets and finances.

Britney has recently been pursuing her legal options to end the conservatorship, or at least to remove her father and to replace him with her care manager Jodi Montgomery.

Multiple hearings throughout 2020 have extended the conservatorship, and the most recent ruling from December 16 leavers it in place until September 2021.

However, Britney will have multiple hearings prior to that date which could change the structure of her conservatorship, according to the Los Angeles Times.
