Two reasons to celebrate! The Preatures singer Isabella Manfredi reveals she is pregnant and engaged

The Preatures frontwoman Isabella Manfredi has two beautiful reasons to celebrate the beginning of 2021.

The singer and activist announced on Wednesday that she was pregnant and also newly-engaged to her musician partner, Rupert Parry.

‘This year I get to marry my person and give birth to our beautiful little girl. Can’t wait to do it all,’ Isabella, 32, captioned a sweet collection of photographs.

The happy couple posed in white linen ensembles on New South Wales’ South Coast Mollymook Beach with a small Persian rug and white roses at their feet.

Rupert captioned his own series of photos: ‘2021 — getting married to my true love, and bringing a little baby girl into the world.’

It’s unclear if the photos were to mark their engagement, or perhaps they were already wed in an intimate beach-side ceremony.

She also posed for numerous side-on images to document her growing baby bump as the couple prepare to welcome their first child together.

Earlier this week, Isabella appeared to tease the release of new solo music in 2021 and hint at her unborn daughter on Instagram.

Isabella wrote at the time: ‘And then comes the joy of new life and new work and I feel very lucky.’

It’s been three-and-a-half years since the release of The Preatures’ last record, Girlhood, in August 2017.

The Sydney-based band [formerly The Preachers] were formed in 2010, but became more prominent in the music scene with their second EP ‘Is This How You Feel?’ in 2013.

The single ‘Is This How You Feel?’ was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Pop Release, and was voted ninth in the prestigious Triple J Hottest 100 that year.
