Angie has previously spoken about seeing a specialist regarding her recent health concerns which was triggered after undergoing keyhole surgery for endometriosis back in August.

What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a common disease in which the tissue that is similar to the lining of the womb grows outside it in other parts of the body.

Up to 10 per cent of women suffer with endometriosis at some point in their life with the disease often starting in teenagers.

Symptoms are variable and this may contribute to the seven to 10 year delay in diagnosis. Common symptoms include pelvic pain that puts life on hold around or during a woman’s period. It can affect fertility.

While endometriosis most often affects the reproductive organs, it is frequently found in the bowel and bladder and has been found in muscle, joints, the lungs and the brain.

She has also spoken openly about her struggle with endometriosis in the past, telling TV Week last year that she was ‘relieved’ by the diagnosis.

‘I finally had answers as to why I’d been in such pain for such a long time,’ she said.

She was first diagnosed with the condition, which is caused when tissue lining the inside of the uterus grows outside the uterus, in 2016.

Since then, she has undergone several procedures to remove it.

She undergoes facial treatments to help with acne scarring, in addition to getting Botox injections to prevent fine lines.

Angie said in 2019: ‘I am not going to lie, I have dabbled in Botox.’

‘I love me some Botox and I have suffered with acne scars so I am all about getting skin treatments, but don’t expect me to get a boob job. I am quite happy with my little breasts.’
