Tanisha, who plays Asha, also posted from her dressing room, sharing a photo of a mug of tea in front of her vanity mirror.

ITV bosses made the decision to halt shooting on Corrie so the cast and crew could have a short break due to the pressures of filming during the coronavirus crisis.

It was also revealed that ITV bosses suspended filming on Emmerdale after a production team member contracted COVID-19.

Several scenes for Coronation Street will be rewritten to accommodate the break, in a bid to keep the storylines creative going forward.

An ITV spokersperson told MailOnline at the time: ‘Coronation Street will pause filming from next Monday, 25 January for two weeks to undertake some rewriting of stories and scripts as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic.

‘We will also be taking the opportunity to review all health and safety requirements to ensure we continue to provide a safe working environment for the cast, crew and production team.

‘This pause in filming won’t affect our ability to deliver six episodes of Coronation Street each week.’

Shooting on Emmerdale was stopped to protect everyone working on the programme and to ensure the Yorkshire set could be given a deep clean.

The cast and crew on Emmerdale were already back to work last week.

Added the spokesperson: ‘We paused filming on Emmerdale last week due to some members of the team testing positive for COVID-19.
