‘Honestly, I’ve been trying many different methods over the last few months and hadn’t found one that lasted or had amazing results… UNTIL NOW!!

‘This is how to give your mirrors a streak-free shine and keep them cleaner for longer.’

To try the trick for herself, Chantel said you should spray one pump of shaving foam on to a microfibre cloth and buff the surface gently.

On this occasion, Chantel used a $2.30 shave foam from Coles

The mum said you should continue buffing until all stains are removed:

‘Shaving cream is amazing at removing streaks, de-fogging mirrors and preventing finger prints,’ Chantel said.

‘I’ve tried so many methods and this is the only one that works.’

The trick also works for mirrors and any other stainless steel surfaces in your house.

‘That is so clean, it looks like a gap in the oven door!’ another added.

Some suggested glass cleaner with newspaper as an alternate approach, but Chantel explained that the shaving foam method is far better at ensuring the streak-free finish lasts, and it prevents fingerprints too.
