Shia LaBeouf is no longer working with the talent agency CAA, as he’s currently in inpatient care in the wake of a sexual battery lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs.

The 34-year-old actor was not fired by the agency, sources told Variety, as he is currently on a break from acting while in inpatient care.

The Honey Boy star and the agency have not collaborated on any projects for a month, a source told the outlet, as he’s been in a facility for five weeks, with his release contingent on the progress he’s made.

The latest: Shia LaBeouf is no longer working with the talent agency CAA, as he’s currently in inpatient care in the wake of a sexual battery lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs. The actor was snapped in LA in 2019

It was not immediately clear what care LaBeouf was being treated for, the publication reported.

The Transformers star has faced multiple allegations of emotional abuse in the wake of FKA Twigs filling a suit against him in December, alleging sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.

The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star took a contrite tone in a statement he gave to The New York Times in December in reaction to the legal filing from FKA Twigs.

‘I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel,’ he said. ‘I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.’

In her lawsuit, FKA Twigs said that the entertainment industry has repeatedly ignored bad behavior from LaBeouf, who has a litany of past arrests and accusations of misconduct from other women.

‘Shia LaBeouf hurts women,’ FKA Twigs’ legal team told the court. ‘He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous … the days in which LaBeouf can mistreat and harm women with impunity are over.’

The news about LaBeouf comes amid a turbulent time in the industry with a number of high-profile names facing strong allegations, such as singer Marilyn Manson, who CAA cut after Evan Rachel Wood accused him of abusing her; and actor Armie Hammer, who WME let go amid accusations from multiple women of abuse.

In December, LaBeouf’s attorney Shawn Holley told Variety, ‘Shia needs help and he knows that. We are actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs.’
