Leila McKinnon shares her and Karl Stefanovic’s photo IDs from their early days on Nine’s Today show… as she fills in for injured Allison Langdon
Leila McKinnon rejoined Nine’s Today Show this month as a fill-in for host Allison Langdon, who is recovering from a painful knee injury.
And on Thursday, the journalist shared her and Today host Karl Stefanovic’s first station ID cards from almost two decades ago.
‘Does anyone know who these young up and comers are?’ Leila, 48, cheekily captioned the photos of the TV presenters in the early days of their careers.

‘Let’s hope morning television is like riding a bike. It’s been a long 10 years on the bench waiting, like a coiled spring, for that call up from the coach but last night it happened, wish me luck,’ Leila captioned a photo with Karl last week.
Leila was briefly appointed Today’s news presenter for four months in 2005, the same year Karl became a co-host of the program.
Karl’s very first ID card for Today was previously shared on the program in June 2020, to mark his 20th anniversary with the network.
