A West End theatre photographer has today denied he groped and sexually assaulted an aspiring actress during a £400 photoshoot in a warehouse 10 years ago.

Pascal Molliere, 54, from Havant in Hampshire, faces three charges of sexual assault against the same woman which took place in July 2010.

The snapper, who has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the BBC, appeared via video link at Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing a blue shirt and yellow patterned tie.

He only spoke to confirm his name, date of birth, address and to indicate not guilty pleas.

Prosecutor Luke Staton told the court how Molliere had arranged a photoshoot with the actress, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

He said: ‘Essentially the complainant was on a website, as an aspiring actress, and she was looking for an opportunity for a photoshoot.

‘The defendant, a professional photographer, arranged for a photoshoot to take place costing £400.

‘The complainant attended the photoshoot at a warehouse a short distance from Victoria station.’

During the shoot Molliere touched the woman intimately, it is claimed.

Molliere was released on bail to appear at Southwark Crown Court on March 12.

He was instructed to not contact the complainant directly or indirectly before the hearing.
