Sophie Ellis-Bextor wraps up warm in a fluffy taupe coat and knitted hat for a walk in London with a pal

She has been keeping fans entertained throughout the pandemic with her kitchen disco.

And Sophie Ellis-Bextor broke up the monotony of the third nationwide lockdown on Friday as she bundled up warm for a socially distanced walk with a friend in London.

The songstress, 41, cut a stylish figure in a textured coat and knitted hat as she strolled down Portobello Road in Notting Hill.

Sophie rocked skinny jeans and black boots, she also protected her hands with charcoal grey gloves.

The Masked Singer star tucked her brunette tresses into a patterned scarf wrapped around her neck, and she enhanced her visage with a slick of make-up.

Her pal stood out from the crowd in a teal faux fur coat which she teamed with a white beret.

It comes after Sophie’s rendition of the Little Mermaid’s Part Of Your World was halted after her son Mickey, two, fell flat on his face during their kitchen disco.

The cute tot was seen trotting across the kitchen in front of his mother when he fell flat on his face.

Sophie clocked this and let out a little screech, kneeling to check if he was okay, still holding a tune.

The resilient child stood up and walked off, totally unfazed, at which Sophie remained on her knees to finish the song.

All five of her sons – Sonny, 16, Kit, 11, Ray, eight, Jesse, five, and Mickey make a regular appearance in her kitchen discos, which is filmed by her husband Richard Jones.

Sophie said recently that, while it would be a ‘wacky’ idea, she hasn’t ruled out trying for number six.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she said: ‘The idea of number six is absolutely wacky and I suspect it won’t happen but it’s a never say never kind of thing.’

She added that she feels she’s had the chance to experience a whole ‘spectrum’ of personalities thanks to her large brood.

Sophie continued: ‘The nice thing is that when you have a big family is you get this sort of spectrum really and you have basically created a tiny little society and kids are quite canny, kids will sort of find something that can be their own and then sort of go headlong into that.

‘I feel like across the board I’ve kind of got most things ticked really in terms of personalities and interests and all of that stuff.’
