A ‘bridezilla’ has sparked outrage on social media by sending her brother’s pregnant wife a diet plan with her wedding invitation.

The man, who is believed to live in the US, took to Reddit to vent his frustration over what has escalated into a family feud.

He said his sister, who is getting married in two months in a backyard ceremony at their mother’s house, has been ‘stressing out’ about the impending nuptials and making life difficult for everyone else as a result.

When his expectant wife opened their invitation, she discovered a 30-day pre-wedding meal plan encouraging her to lose weight tucked inside the envelope.

Furious responses rolled in after the story was shared online, with many urging the man to send his sister a 30-day ‘personality repair plan’.

To make matters worse, the man said his wife had not been asked to be part of the bridal party and some of the meals listed in the diet plan contained ingredients she is highly allergic to.

‘She looked so upset, almost crying,’ said the man, who was ‘speechless’ by the cruel dig.

‘I don’t know whose idea this is or who made this plan but it’s awful,’ he wrote.

‘Literally the worst thing I’ve seen in a while.’

Disgusted by how she had made his wife feel, the man said he called his sister to confront her, sparking an argument where she berated him for ‘trying to ruin her day’.

The conversation ended with the man refusing to come to the wedding and throwing the invitation in the bin.

But when he recounted the story to his mother, she accused him of overreacting and insisted every guest had received the same diet plan with their invitation, meaning it was nothing personal towards his wife.

Support for the parents-to-be quickly flooded the comments section along with suggestions of how to approach the situation.

‘You could send your sister a 30-day pre-wedding personality repair plan,’ one person said.

A second added: ‘Everyone else can lose weight, how do you fix ugly on the inside?’

Others said the sister’s husband-to-be should take note of her ‘red flag’ behaviour and walk away before the big day.
