‘I’m sorry for trying to look longingly off into the mid-distance when clearly there’s nothing there, and I’m sorry for posting this,’ he continued.

In the black and white photo, a much younger Larry is seen with a full head of hair, wearing an oversized shirt which featured vertical lines.

He completed his ’90s look wearing black suit pants and leather shoes.

The Channel 7 presenter complemented the post with an array of hashtags which included: ‘#WTF? #whatatosser #justbenatural #maybehesbornwithit.’

Larry’s post comes just weeks after the father-of-two explained that he made a major overhaul to his diet and exercise regimen once he turned 50.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, he said: ‘What happened was I hit 50 and I had a light bulb moment, I had started to feel sluggish and not great and I thought, “I can’t feel like this for the rest of my life.” I wasn’t ready to feel old.’

Larry said he ‘started training like crazy’ and has never been fitter.

He went on to explain that he exercises ‘every single day’ for at least ’30 minutes’ and he has reduced his alcohol consumption.

‘In my 20s and 30s and 40s I was at the pub with the boys drinking like a demon but you soon learn you can’t do that anymore,’ he added.

Nowadays, Larry says that he has a ‘better understanding’ of the effects of drinking  on his body both ‘physically and mentally’.
