The presenter, 46, is set to make a major TV comeback on the new gameshow, with a primetime slot on Saturday evening.

The upcoming ITV programme sees contestants join forces with celebrities as they try to decipher the hidden talents of different mystery performers, in the hopes of winning a big cash prize.

Wow! Vernon Kay has reportedly landed his first major presenting gig with new show, Game Of Talents, following his succesful stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2020

Vernon said to The Mirror on Tuesday: ‘We’re lining up some amazing performers whose skills are both jaw-droppingly brilliant and at times surreal.

ITV’s head of entertainment, Katie Rawcliffe, described the TV presenter as the ‘perfect host’ ahead of the new show.

MailOnline have reached out to Vernon’s reps for comment.

It is said ITV bosses are in discussion over whether to commission the seven-part series to take the slot of the now-cancelled Britain’s Got Talent.

Vernon, married to Strictly’s Tess Daly, has had a successful presenting career over the years, fronting shows such as All Family Fortunes, T4, Splash! and Just the Two of Us (with Tess).

The news comes after it was confirmed that Vernon would step in for Rylan Clark-Neal on his BBC 2 radio show for two weeks.

Vernon held the fort for Rylan On Saturday from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th February.

Vernon said of the news prior to the show: ‘Really pleased to be filling in for Rylan with my Radio 2 debut! What better show to be on than a fun, high energy, Saturday afternoon slot.

‘The show & Rylan are friends of the nation and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join in.’

It was also recently suggested that Vernon’s I’m A Celebrity teammate and 2020 series winner,  Giovanna Fletcher could make up to £4 million in television work as ‘the next Davina McCall’.

According to reports, ITV have ten possible shows lined up for the Queen of The Castle, 35, which could earn her the whopping seven-figure sum.

An insider told The Sun late last year: ‘Giovanna’s popularity went through the roof on Celebrity and after being crowned the winner ITV hope to champion her.

‘Bosses had a meeting where ten jobs were mooted, all of which would be perfect for her.

‘They see Giovanna as the next Davina McCall — she’s a great all-rounder and could work on anything from panel shows to kids’ TV. She could earn up to £4 million over the next few years if she took up all their offers.’

The source disclosed that the mother-of-three isn’t rushing any decisions, as she has been offered multiple deals by major channels and production companies.
